Reporting to the Public Relations Secretary, you will be an integral member of the Public Relations team in NSW assisting the team to promote and raise funds for the work of the Salvation Army.

As PR Office Coordinator the focus will be to:

  • Act in the pivotal role as conduit between the Public Relations Office and Donor Care Services
  • Develop corporate content to be published on social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn
  • Assist in the development and implementation of campaigns and events including attendance and assistance at some (out of hour) events
  • Provide administrative support to the Public Relations Secretary and four relationship managers including diary and email management and travel and accommodation co-ordination
  • General administration duties

To be successful in this role, you will have a working background in PR and media communications and while not essential qualifications in Media, Communications or Public Relations would be highly regarded.

Key capabilities include:

  • Excellent verbal and writing communications skills including a demonstrated ability to proof read and simplify complex messages
  • Ability to create content appropriate for the purpose and audience
  • Excellent time management and ability to work on numerous tasks with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting a multidisciplinary professional team
  • Proactive can-do attitude
  • Certificate III in Business Administration
  • A current driver's license
  • Microsoft Office 365 skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook) proficiency
  • TechnologyOne capability
