For more than 20 years, James Barker House in Footscray has provided aged care services within the community. We take pride in our services, which specialise in providing residential aged care for all people, particularly those who are marginalised and homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, for people with AOD dependency, mental health issues and challenging behaviours. We have tailored programs to uphold the wellbeing and dignity of our residents, to support them in leading a healthy and independent lifestyle. We are looking for a Casual Personal Care Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. Our Personal Care Workers provide personal care, physical and emotional support and companionship for up to 30 residents as a team member, in a team comprised of 2 or more people

  • Deliver comprehensive, individualised personal care to residents in aged care facilities, in accordance with nursing care plans (NCPs)
  • Maintain accurate documentation throughout each shift
  • Report all and any concerns relating to residents' health & well-being, to the nurse in charge (NIC) promptly and accurately & comply with all reasonable RN/EN directives
  • Ensure the privacy and dignity of residents is maintained at all times and that all personal interactions reflect respect and compassion

ABOUT YOU

  • A Certificate III in Aged Care
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
