We are seeking motivated and dedicated disability support workers for our Community Care NDIS program. You will be working as part of a cohesive team that promotes and maintains independence of our NDIS funded residents by providing them with meaningful opportunities to engage in their local community. You will strive to build strong and positive relationships with our residents and deliver services with compassion, integrity and dignity. These roles will be based at our aged care centres in Erina and Merewether

About the Role

We are seeking motivated and dedicated disability support workers for our Community Care NDIS program. You will be working as part of a cohesive team that promotes and maintains independence of our NDIS funded residents by providing them with meaningful opportunities to engage in their local community. You will strive to build strong and positive relationships with our residents and deliver services with compassion, integrity and dignity. These roles will be based at our aged care centres in Erina and Merewether.

You will have

  • An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability/Mental Health or 12 months experience
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • Understanding of working with clients who have complex mental health needs
  • Computer literacy and experience with documentation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - Mandatory Worker Training "Quality Safeguarding and You" certificate

Essential

  • A current drivers license and access to own car for work
