About the Role

We are seeking for an enthusiastic and passionate Multi Ethnic Ministries Worker to join us on a on a maximum term for 12 months, part time 26 hours per week. The Multi Ethnic Ministries Worker will report into the Area Officer of South West Queensland and is responsible for:

  • Establishing and leading a small group bible study
  • Providing pastoral care to those coming from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities and exploring pathways for faith development
  • Establishing a leadership team to explore ways to strategically address recurring issues that emerge within the CALD community
  • Coordinate the annual multicultural worship gathering
  • Provide support to Corps

About you

  • Relevant Diploma/degree qualifications for a ministry worker
  • Experience in ministry will be highly regarded
  • Previous experience of working within a community development role will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated understanding of working with vulnerable families from culturally diverse backgrounds is essential
  • Full QLD Drivers Licence
