This position is responsible for leading a team and providing advice and expertise to design, build, support, maintain and ensure high-level performance of a diverse range of enterprise systems and applications across Australia. These services will be provided in line with the specification stated in the "Information Technology Services - Service Catalogue".

About the role

Enterprise Infrastructure

  • Design and build enterprise grade solutions according to best practice
  • Provide expert advice on enterprise systems and architecture
  • Conduct analysis to ensure systems are fit for purpose
  • Liaise with SME's and provide advice on best practice in design and architecture

Documentation & Reporting

  • Develop and update technical documentation and diagrams as required
  • Update knowledge management documentation as changes occur
  • Provide monthly reporting on availability, performance and capability. Or as required

Advise, Customer Service & Technical Support

  • Liaise and provide advice to relevant stakeholders during new application development
  • Provide support to customers to resolve all assigned service requests and incidents within the SLA
  • Liaise with vendors and third parties where required as required for the resolution of incidents and problems.

Strategic Focus & Best Practice

  • Research and advise on innovative solutions that align with the ITS strategy or to operational issues.
  • Implement systems according to best practice
  • Provide recommendations to management on ways to improve performance and availability

Change Management

  • Develop technical specifications for system changes according to the details in an approved change request
  • Ensure enterprise application clients are engaged in all relevant areas of the initiation process as it relates to Change Management

People Management

  • Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring for National Team
  • Ensure compliance with all HR policies and WHS requirements

Qualifications & Mandatory Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant IT discipline.
  • Extensive experience and certifications in server and application virtualisation, storage, SQL and operating systems including windows server.
  • IT Certifications, such as VMware VCP, Citrix CCP, MSCE, ITILV3,CSAA in addition to extensive experience in supporting these technologies in a large and complex enterprise environment.
