About the role:

Provide leadership and supervision in accordance with the principles and policies of the Cootamundra, Young and Junee Family Stores and to facilitate good management of the retail area of the Family Stores. To provide effective display of usable goods for sale and a friendly shopping experience for customers with the purpose of developing an ethos of excellence in customer service and efficiency in operations and supporting the achievement of The Salvation Army mission.

What we are looking for?

  • WHS - knowledge of work health safety obligations in a management role and to practice these in the workplace in line with policy & procedures and legislation.
  • Professional development required to maintain skills for the role.
  • 2 plus years management experience in retail and or customer service environment.
  • Current driver's licence
  • Retail qualifications
  • Evidence of strong relationships with team members at a management level.
  • Self motivated and a strong work ethic
  • Sound presentation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to interact and network positively with a variety of people
  • Able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Team player, flexible with a positive attitude
  • Required to undertake a police check
  • The need to have a reasonable level of fitness in order to carry out the duties of this position

You will be required to move between the three stores.
