The Housing Pathways Program is located within the Western Metro and provides housing services to support connection for those in custodial care specifically in; Ravenhall Correctional Centre, the Melbourne Assessment Prison, the Metropolitan Remand Centre, Port Philip Prison, the Judy Lazarus Transition Centre, Thomas Embling Hospital, Barwon Prison and Marngoneet Correctional Centre (Karreenga).

The Housing Pathways Program provide quality effective and coordinated service provision across all custodial facilities. In this role you will manage key stakeholder relationships and contribute to leadership coordination of TSA programs operating across TSA Streams (Homelessness, Youth, Family Violence, AOD).

We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Family Housing and Support Coordinator to lead the provision of high-quality service delivery within the Family Housing & Safety (FH&S) team by providing a range of service delivery responses to families and children who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

You will successfully:

  • Manage all programs and services within the approved budget and financial processes, meeting all funding body and legislative requirements within TSA mission and values.
  • Conduct client progress and monitor outcomes to assistance specialise in expertise complex case management issues.
  • Manage risk in processes and ensure procedures are in place for critical incidents.
  • Ensure relevant legislation and TSA systems, policies and procedures are accurately interpreted, communicated, implemented and adhered
  • Develop plans that are implemented for the team, to improve capability and service delivery.

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or related community service field.
  • Experience in case management with families who are homeless from an inclusive, strengths-based, client-centred approach
  • Experience in managing staff and providing supervision
  • A willingness to undergo a National Police check

The Salvation Army is subject to public health orders. You may be required to provide evidence of vaccine status dependent on requirements.
