THE ROLE

We are seeking a values-driven and qualified Educational Leader to ensure that a high quality early learning environment is offered to all children and families enrolled at the centre, through the provision of pedagogical leadership under the Early Years Director, supporting the Early Years Director direction, management and leadership. You will lead the kindy room team and oversee all room curriculums, provide mentoring and daily operations support to the ELC staff team.

  • Teaching & Administration
  • Educational Leader, Team Leadership & Mentoring
  • Quality Standards - effectively promote and operate to ACECQA National Quality Standards within the ELC
  • Professional Learning

This position reports to the Early Years Director.

HOURS

This is a full time position, 38 hours per week fixed term to December 2021.

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:

  • At least 2 years leadership and teaching experience working with some level of autonomy
  • Experience within a community service or not for profit setting would be well regarded
  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent
  • Ability to build strong & positive relationships with key stakeholders of early learning centre
  • Ensures the children's needs, wants and preferences are listened to and implemented as far as practicable
  • Self-motivated, high level of initiative and strong work ethic
  • Salvation Army Integrity checks, WWCC and police clearance
