The Salvation Army (TSA) Aged Care currently operates 2000 residential care places across 20 residential aged care facilities, seven retirement villages and a broad range of Community Care Programs. We are looking for a full time Manager - Compliance and Care Assurance to join our friendly and dedicated team.

The Manager - Compliance and Care Assurance will support the organisation in delivering a compliance and assurance programme that identifies operational and clinical risk, regulatory compliance and policy adherence.

The role will lead in the monitoring and supporting of continuous quality improvement and ensure high levels of evidenced based care is undertaken.

The role will also support compliance with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Standards across its sites and services.

Key responsibilities include:

Compliance:

  • Overall responsibility for compliance reviews of sites and services tracking improvements and escalating risks.
  • Provide verbal and written feedback on results, issues and risk
  • Monitor continuous improvement plans and progress around recommendations escalating continued non-compliance.
  • Develop a compliance rectification framework.
  • Manage accreditation applications
  • Coordinating the authoring of submissions and responses to the ACQSC or other regulatory parties.

Care Assurance:

  • Overall responsibility for ensuring the highest level possible of care assurance across The Salvation Army Aged Care in line with TSA clinical governance framework;
  • Responsible for reporting, trending & recommending and escalating care concerns as well as work with teams to assist with resolution of the same.
  • Provides clinical counsel as required.

The successful applicant for this role will have:

  • Professional experience in the health sector (preferably aged care).
  • Demonstrated capability in business intelligence and/or trend analytics.
  • Experience working across wide portfolios with multiple key stakeholders.
  • Registration as a Registered Nurse without restrictions in accordance with AHPRA requirements.
  • Quality Agency, IS9001 and/ or EQUIP ACHS audit credentialing (preferred).
  • Experience in staff leadership.
  • Current Australian Drivers' Licence
  • Ability to travel inter/intrastate
