THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Case Worker to provide a safe and secure environment for young people to realise their physical, social, spiritual and emotional potential. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Through the Mission and Values of the Salvation Army, provide a safe and secure environment for young people to realise their physical, social, spiritual, and emotional potential.
  • This position sits within the Morley Corps of the Western Australia Division and provides case management to youth at risk, or who are vulnerable in Morley and the surrounding areas.
  • While being based at The Salvation Army Morley, the position requires high interaction within the community, therefore working away from the centre and independently at times is essential.

Reporting to the State Manager Youth this position is located at Morley Corps

HOURS AND SALARY

This is fixed term part time position, 20 hours per week until December 2021

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 4

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE

  • Diploma in Human Services or relevant experience in the Human Services Industry
  • Previous experience in Youth Work
  • Sound knowledge in case management practices and principals
  • High quality of written, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • A current and valid WA Employee Working with Children Check
  • A current WA Drivers Licence
  • Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
