THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced and values-driven Case Worker to take responsibility for tenancy support and property support for the Towards Independence Program.

You will provide Towards Independence Program Alice Springs (TIPAS) clients with support implement case plan that achieve their self-determined goals.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Provide clients with support implement case plan that achieve their self-determined goals
  • Manage and monitor tenancy for TIPAS - rental inspections, rent ledgers, leases, maintenance etc.
  • Case plans which encourage self-determination and participation are implemented for all TIPAS clients which supports them to improve their situation.
  • Accurate and up to date client records are maintained as per TSA standards and procedures.

Progress and outcomes of case plans are monitored and updated appropriately in SAMISReporting to the Coordinator this position is located in Alice Springs.

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a permanent part time position, 22 hours per week.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 4.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • Certificate III in community services, AOD, mental health or in a related field
  • Relevant experience in a social service environment
  • Experience and resilience in working with complex clients presenting with challenging behaviours
  • Ability to encourage and cooperate with others to achieve common goals
  • Acknowledgement and responsiveness to diversity of experiences, perspectives, values and beliefs
  • Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
