The Eastern Bridge Alcohol and Other Drugs Residential Program offers an 40 bed residential program for men & women to address issues caused by Alcohol & other drugs. A combination of individual case management and support, group work, life skills, self-awareness and staff role modelling are used to encourage participants to make positive changes. Individuals are supported to:

  • Develop appropriate life skills & resources
  • Develop the right support from their established or newly developed support mechanisms
  • Develop the necessary support services to ensure a recovery-oriented treatment journey

The support work coordinator is responsible for:

Leading an effective and high functioning team of support workers to support the delivery of best practice outcomes to the Residential Rehabilitation participants. To provide practical and emotional support and facilitation of program engagement to the Residential Rehabilitation participants, who have alcohol and/or other drug (AOD) use problems to assist in meeting the holistic needs of participants to improve their health and wellbeing.

Service Delivery

  • Support workers are demonstrating through practice a knowledge of the current policies and procedures
  • Support workers engage in team meetings, putting forward their ideas to address service gaps
  • Support workers work are aware of risk management practices and are entering client incidents to CIMS and Solv Safety as required
  • All shift notes are entered and up to date prior to the end of each shift

About You:

  • Relevant experience in a social service environment and AOD sector
  • Experience in supervising staff, is desirable
  • Experience working with a trauma informed practice lens with women and/ children
  • Experience in the provision of secondary consultation and supervision of case management practice
  • Sound experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds and with a complex range of support needs.
