THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced and values-driven person to provide case management support to clients throughout their treatment at the Bridge program. The position:

  • Works with clients with problematic substance use to facilitate a treatment plan;
  • Provides a range of treatment modalities to support client goals
  • Works as part of a team along with case managers and other professional workers to achieve the best outcomes for clients

This position reports to the Clinical Services Manager and is located in Launceston.

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a full time position, 38 hours per week fixed term to January 2022.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 5.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • Diploma qualification in relevant field e.g. AOD and Mental Health or related field
  • Relevant experience in a social service environment
  • Demonstrates knowledge of AOD sector including role, context, principles, philosophies, policies, regulations and legislation
  • Understands and applies AOD models, approaches, theories and practices when dealing with clients
  • Ability to understand and respond to the needs of individuals experiencing AOD issues
  • Demonstrates knowledge of AOD types and effects
  • Understands and addresses the needs of dual diagnosis clients
  • Ability to facilitate therapeutic groups to provide bio-psycho-social education
  • Knowledge of lifestyle pressures faced by disadvantaged people in the community
  • A current TAS Drivers Licence
  • Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
