The Salvation Army Youth Services offer an integrated suite of programs engaging with young people across Australia. Our services create intentional avenues for young people to explore opportunities, build support networks, and access, participate and contribute to their communities. Youth services provide a diverse range of programs which include housing and homelessness, driver training, education, employment and training, AOD support, social and community activities, specialist therapeutic responses and youth justice programs.
The Youth Justice Community Support Service supports young people under statutory orders including Youth Control Orders and Intensive Bail. You will be involved in the development and coordination of individually targeted supports and responses to young people who have come into contact with the justice system.
Youth Workers supports young people in managing their criminogenic behaviours and avoiding further progression in the criminal justice system through a range of collaborative and innovative methods.
We are seeking a skilled Youth Worker who is passionate about working with young people with complex, varied needs and who are involved in the youth justice system.
Based in Wodonga you will join the wider Salvation Army Youth Justice Team and will work closely with community service organisations and the Department of Justice and Community Safety.
The role requires a high level of flexibility in working hours as the program utilises a flexible service model that can include the provision of support on weekdays, evenings or weekends.
We are seeking a casual worker. This role requires someone who is available on weekends and after hours to provide support and pro-social activities to young people involved in the youth justice system in North East Victoria.
Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, level 4.
