Responsibilities:

  • To provide personal support to clients of the Residential Facilities within a case management framework.
  • To maintain a clean, safe, and hazard free environment for service users and visitors.
  • To provide a welcoming and supportive environment for clients and visitors
  • To assist residents and other staff in a friendly and professional manner
  • To provide support and practical assistance to residents upon request and to help with enquiries at the front counter
  • To remain alert and responsive to the needs of clients and to maintain a visible presence within the facility
  • Utilisation of the logbook to document any issues relating to clients and the facility
  • Participation in all aspects of shift handover to ensure rostered staff are up-to-date with log book entries/issues
  • Undertake facility checks on a regular basis and document any damage, faults and client concerns during inspection
  • Contribute to the overall functioning of the facility by taking part in a range of rostered and scheduled activities
  • Arranging with the on-call person for shift cover for any unexpected leave
  • To undertake cleaning and general housekeeping duties as allocated
  • To undertake other duties as directed by management

A tertiary qualification in social welfare or a related qualification is desirable
