The Role

We are seeking a Volunteer Grant Writer to take ownership of researching, writing, and submitting grant applications to support the growth and sustainability of the charity.

This is a key role within the organisation, directly contributing to securing funding for our programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and identify relevant grant opportunities (government, corporate, philanthropic)
• Write and submit high-quality grant applications
• Manage and track a pipeline of funding opportunities and deadlines
• Work with the Board to gather required information and supporting materials
• Align funding applications with the charity’s mission and programs

Role Expectations

• Deliver 1-3 grant applications per month (depending on funding cycles)
• Maintain a consistent pipeline of opportunities
• Work independently and take ownership of outcomes

Skills & Experience

• Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or similar (preferred)
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Ability to clearly articulate impact and outcomes
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Able to manage deadlines and work autonomously

Commitment

• Flexible, remote volunteer role
• Workload varies depending on grant cycles
• Focus is on outcomes and consistency rather than fixed hours
