The Tree Scheme is an iconic South Australian program that provides an opportunity for landholders to order low-cost seedlings across SA and opt to be matched with a volunteer grower.

About the role

As the Tree Scheme Coordinator, your key duties and responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage administration of the Tree Scheme.
  • Recruit, support and train volunteers.
  • Develop promotional materials.
  • Assist in running Tree Scheme and nursery events and promotional activities.
  • Promote Trees Scheme and Nursery sales.
  • Manage delivery of special projects operated by the Tree Scheme Program.
  • Apply continuous improvement strategies.
  • Provide service and technical advice to customers, volunteers and the general public.

Please note occasional out of hours work and intrastate travel will be required.

As the ideal candidate, you will possess the following:

The successful applicant will have a positive and proactive outlook, experience working with volunteers, excellent communication skills, database experience, strong time management and interpersonal skills. The role works within the Tree Scheme and Nursery Team and with volunteers in a team environment.

The successful candidate must hold a valid class C driver’s license. Due to the range of physical duties required for this position, such as bending and lifting, applicants must be physically fit to a level enabling safe completion of the duties.
