Paddock Tree Project Coordinator

Trees For Life

Trees for Life is a not for profit community-based organisation that works with all South Australians to help restore SA’s natural and productive landscapes through revegetation and conservation. We have over 6000 members, many of whom are active volunteers, and we are a welcoming, productive and flexible family-friendly workplace.

The Paddock Tree Project is a large-scale habitat creation project now in its 5th year. The project aims to help stop the rapid decline of native birds and ensure ongoing shade and shelter for stock by establishing the next generation of paddock trees across at least 3000 hectares in the lower rainfall area of the northern and eastern Mount Lofty Ranges.

With the focus now on properties impacted by the Cudlee Creek bushfire, the Paddock Tree Project Coordinator will manage the next phase of implementation over 18 months. Working closely with a Coordinating Committee, the role involves engaging and developing relationships with farmers, planning and overseeing the planting of scattered paddock trees, managing data through Arc GIS online and reporting regularly on progress.

This is a fixed term position to June 30 2022. Salary $62,400 pa neg.
