Tranby National Indigenous Adult Education and Training is a not for profit, Indigenous organisation committed to advancing educational opportunities for Indigenous people nationwide. Your new role

As our new Office Manager, you will be the first point of contact for all students and staff at our campus in Glebe, Sydney. In addition to giving a great first impression, you will be responsible for the ongoing smooth running of Tranby’s front office and associated activities. Your duties as Office Manager will include:

  • Managing all front office tasks and general administrative duties, ensuring adherence to Tranby’s policies and procedures
  • Managing venue hire bookings
  • Opening and locking up the campus
  • Provide efficient and high-quality administrative support to the leadership team and other Tranby staff as required
  • Providing secondary support to our students as required
  • Review and manage all Tranby administrative systems, policies, procedures and support documentation
  • Coordinate community and special events such as community lunches, NAIDOC week, AGM and special programs

What you will need to succeed

  • Strong office administration skills with experience in a similar role
  • The ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines
  • Outstanding customer service skills and advanced interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Digital competence, with a good understanding of Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Understand and have previous experience working with Indigenous people and/or communities
