THE ROLE

As Human Resources Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and oversee all HR and Work Health & Safety (WHS) functions across the organisation. This includes shaping and leading strategic initiatives in recruitment, staff development, industrial relations, injury management, and workforce planning.

Based in Alice Springs with regular travel to other jrisdictions, you'll work closely with managers to support culturally appropriate workforce development and uphold consistent, compliant practices across the business. You'll also lead a small team, including a HR Coordinator and WHS Coordinator.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Employment Law, WHS or similar
  • Demonstrated senior experience across HR and WHS including policy, performance, recruitment, IR, and training
  • Strong skills in interpreting Awards, employment legislation, and managing employment agreements
  • Proven leadership of small teams and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, mediation, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Cultural awareness and previous experience working with Aboriginal organisations or remote communities highly regarded
  • Ability to drive a 4WD and obtain SA Working with Children Clearance and First Aid
