The role

The Senior Principal (or Principal) Stakeholder Relations & Communications Consultant will provide exceptional solutions to complex social and environmental challenges, and deliver quality project outcomes for clients.

Nation Partners have established a strong reputation amongst numerous government departments, agencies, and the private sector for their leading environmental, sustainability and business advisory services, and communications and stakeholder relations capabilities.

This role will lead and collaborate with existing and future clients to leave positive lasting project outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to the continued growth of Nation Partners by developing and sustaining strong relationships, proactively anticipating and meeting client needs, and leading projects successfully.
• Pursuing, bidding and project managing strategic consulting, stakeholder relations and communications projects for clients.
• Identifying new clients and projects leading to growth in the service offering within the communications and stakeholder industry in line with the business strategy.
• Developing, managing, and implementing communications and stakeholder strategies to build awareness, understanding and support for client projects.
• Contributing to multidisciplinary projects, liaising with clients and relevant authorities, identifying key issues and writing clear and succinct reports for clients.

You are able to pioneer new thinking and bring leading capabilities to understand a problem and provide clarity on the solution. You are excited to bring critical thinking and curiosity to assess a challenge or opportunity from all angles.

In addition, you will have:

• Understanding of strategic planning and government processes, with the ability to influence plans and outcomes.
• Extensive experience within renewables, environmental or government sector projects
• Ability to listen and get to know colleagues and clients and invest in building strong, enduring and genuine relationships.
• Effective negotiating skills, with situational awareness, and take a ‘no surprises approach’.
