about the role

We’re looking for a passionate and engaging trans or gender diverse identified health worker to join our Training and Capacity Building team.

The successful applicant will deliver trans and gender diverse (TGD) affirmative practice training for Thorne Harbour Health as part of the TGD in Community Health consortium project (TGDiCH). As part of the TGDiCH Consortium, the successful candidate will work closely with TGDiCH Project Coordinator to deliver an evidence-based state-wide training program, with the goal of improving TGD sensitivity, reducing stigma and discrimination, and building capacity across the health sector to meet the health needs of TGD Victorians.

The TGD Health portfolio role will support Thorne Harbour Health’s ongoing work to ensure our organisation is inclusive of, and responsive to, Victorian TGD communities’ health needs. The TGD Health portfolio coordinates the TGD Community Advisory Group (TAG), and communicate their feedback to management to strengthen Thorne Harbour Health’s TGD strategy and advocacy, while building capacity for TGD best practice within the organisation.
