Thorne Harbour Health, a progressive LGBTIQ+ community-controlled health organisation, is currently recruiting for a Mental Health Peer Navigator/Case Worker to provide peer support to our clients.
This exciting role will provide culturally safe and affirming peer and case work support to LGBTIQ+ community members experiencing mental health issues.
As a Mental Health Peer Navigator/Case Worker you will draw on your own lived experience and support clients through modelling hope and recovery, helping them to make sense of, normalise and reframe their own experiences, and to navigate the mental health treatment system.
You will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, an ability to work with people experiencing psychological distress, and a genuine commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of people from the LGBTIQ+ community, particularly trans and gender diverse individuals.
