Position Overview:

Great opportunity for individual with strong media and communication skills to support environmental and social advocacy in Australia.

An experienced communications professional is sought to support the work of the Pew Charitable Trusts on environmental and social advocacy in Australia. A rare and special opportunity to be part of a global organisation and support communications for national campaigns that protect Australia's natural heritage and share in the success of securing lasting benefits for wildlife, landscapes and the people who care for it.

This important role supports the communication aims of our Australian campaigns, including the development of public facing and specialised audience campaign communications, mobilising public engagement in projects and promoting issues and spokespeople in the media.

Requirements:

A minimum of four years of strategic communications experience, including media relations and public-facing communications.

Previous experience in working for a not-for profit, advocacy, and/or public relations organisation is desirable. Knowledge of or a strong personal interest in conservation issues would be highly advantageous.

The position also requires some travel domestically and occasionally internationally.

Salary Range: $89,500 - $100,000 AUD depending on experience.

Location: The location for this position is negotiable, preferably Brisbane, or in a home office in Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra.
