We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a National Fundraising and Philanthropy Manager based in Sydney. This newly created leadership role will play a major role in driving our relationships with regular donors, trusts and foundations, high-net-worth individuals and corporates to build and maintain multi-year support for our work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The National Fundraising and Philanthropy Manager is a full-time role and is responsible for the effective formulation, implementation and management of fundraising and philanthropic strategies, campaigns and activities to ensure revenue optimisation and donor engagement and retention.

KEY FUNCTIONS

  • To create comprehensive and multichannel fundraising strategies for The Fathering Project to establish new and significant sustainable income streams and create a high profile, financially viable organisation, operating with clearly articulated targets, with an overall aim to improving child development outcomes and engagement of fathers and father figures
  • To be a part of the Executive Team and provide input and advancement of the mission of The Fathering Project
  • Develop, grow and sustain The Fathering Project’s fundraising and philanthropic programs nationally, by creating and executing an annual program of fundraising initiatives and philanthropic giving in line with agreed quarterly and annual KPIs
  • Grow and build strong positive relationships with current and potential key stakeholders, donors, corporates, philanthropic organisations and government grant bodies nationally
  • Undertake executive-level communication, grant-writing, acquittals, develop and maintain donor and funding relationships
  • Manage an integrated digital and traditional fundraising program within strategic guidelines set at the executive forum
  • In collaboration with the CEO and other key managers, develop and implement fundraising campaigns that promote and enhance The Fathering Project's presence and contribute to the maximisation of revenue and fundraising opportunities across a range of mediums including individuals, corporate partners, bequests, etc.

ABOUT YOU

You are a passionate and enthusiastic fundraising and philanthropy professional who has developed and implemented a variety of strategies, systems and programs. You are skilled in developing and presenting convincing cases for support, along with expertise in designing donor driven content and campaigns. You have excellent communication and relationship building skills and can engage and connect with donors to leverage support and increase retention.
