The Deli Women and Children's Centre is a family support service, specialising in prevention programs and promoting the safety of women and children. We are seeking a talented professional to assist us in implementing a series of projects with service providers and the local community. The role is a part-time (3 days per week) with flexible working conditions, including the option to work from home for a portion of time.

This is an exciting, dynamic and rewarding role for an experienced professional, delivering new and exciting projects to address domestic violence in the region. The project encompasses a holistic and whole region primary prevention approach addressing Domestic & Family Violence (DFV) through awareness raising, educational and early intervention programs and increasing skills capacity for workers. You will be responsible for a wide variety of functions including; networking, promotion, events coordination, financial management and administration.

Essential:

  • Experience working within the NGO sector.
  • Strong experience in project and event management, with at least 5 years experience.
  • Excellent communication and strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrated ability to network and negotiate.
  • Initiative and flexibility to respond to new opportunities as they arise.
  • Well-developed analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong administrative skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work within a feminist framework.
  • Demonstrated experience working with social justice issues.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Word.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of domestic & family violence and key drivers.
  • Current driver’s license.
