Tenants Victoria is the specialist tenancy law community legal centre in Victoria. We provide legal assistance to tenants and advocate and campaign for reform to residential tenancy law and practice. Through our education and training programs we support other community agencies to build capability to assist their clients. Lawyers within our currently 10 person team provide legal assistance by way of our tenancy phone advice line, email advice, negotiation assistance, representation and advocacy.
The main purpose of the role is to provide efficient and effective tenancy legal assistance in complex tenancy law matters for tenants living in regional, rural and remote (RRR) areas, including those impacted by the 2019-20 bushfire disasters. This includes through the establishment and maintenance of partnerships and networks with RRR community services.
You are a driven, motivated self-starter who has the ability to work autonomously to deliver high quality results and exceed expectations. You have high attention to detail, are well-organised and have the ability to build rapport with people quickly.
