Noffs is seeking a Youth Engagement Worker to deliver regular creative arts workshops with strong focus on quality engagement via music, dance, spoken word, rap, performance and events for young people between the ages of 12-25 to address their substance use and associated problems. These programs aim to use creative arts as a vehicle to empower young people and increase their motivation to reduce their substance use and antisocial behaviour.
This role will be required to drive manual vehicle and run workshops at community centres within Ipswich, Logan, Southport, Bay Islands and Northern Gold Coast, as well as at the Street Universities in Logan, Morayfield and Southport QLD.
The Street University is an innovative youth driven space that engages at risk young people through a range of educational, recreational, cultural and art-based programs. Street University focuses on assisting marginalised young people who do not traditionally engage with mainstream services.
