The Ted Noffs Foundation supports young people and families experiencing difficulties relating to alcohol and drug misuse, mental and physical health, criminality and social disadvantage. We strive to enhance and evolve the family of humanity by forging new ways of engaging with young people and their communities, to improve the social inclusion of all.

Noffs is currently seeking a community-minded individual to join us as an Executive Assistant. The successful applicant will provide operational and administrative support to our Leadership Team. The role is varied in its duties, meaning that no two days will be the same and will be a valuable part of projects that positively impact on the organisation as a whole - from our advocacy work to our nationwide frontline services.

This role requires an eye for details, working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrating the ability to be accountable and proactive. We are seeking a candidate with suitable relevant experience, exceptional organisational and communication skills and have the ability to develop relationships with a diverse range of key stakeholders while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

A snapshot of what the successful candidate will work on includes:

  • Triaging of requests and communication for the Leadership Team.
  • Diary and travel management, resolve conflicting demands as well as negotiating the rescheduling appointments.
  • Executive support including preparation of reports, sending press releases and taking meeting minutes.
  • Carrying out special projects as allocated, including research/analysis or events.
  • Anticipating needs of key stakeholders where appropriate.
  • Reporting, operational and office administration.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • At least 12 months experience in a similar role and have a strong sense of confidentiality.
  • Motivated self-starter with high energy.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and to complete multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to demonstrate confidence in liaising with key stakeholders, including media, community organisations and government.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience using various social media platforms, MS Word, Excel, Google Suite.
  • Experience using or ability to gain knowledge of Trello and/or Slack.
  • Must have a current and valid NSW Working With Children Check and Driver Licence.
