Tearfund is a Christian development, relief and advocacy organisation responding to global poverty and injustice. We work in partnership with local Christian agencies to end poverty, challenge inequality and build sustainable communities. We go where the need is greatest, acting with courage to tackle injustice so that all may experience fullness of life.
To work at Tearfund is to live out your vocation; a space where your faith, passion for justice and skills intersect. Tearfund offers you the opportunity to use your professional skills and expertise to make a real difference in the lives of people who need it the most. As part of the Tearfund team, you are part of a movement which works toward a just and compassionate world in which all people can achieve their God-given potential.
Tearfund offers a friendly and flexible work environment, generous salary packaging benefits, and the challenge to grow and explore in your faith and justice journey.
This part time role will play a critical part in Tearfunds’ advocacy and campaigning, which exists to bring about large-scale Christ-centred change on issues that affect people who are living with poverty and marginalisation.
When you are successful in this role, you will create and contribute to the delivery of advocacy campaigns and communications that mobilise Christians and influence decision-makers to act. You’ll collaborate with a talented and dedicated group of communication and community organising professionals across Tearfund’s Australian Program Team and amongst our national and global coalitions, providing advice and training on campaign issues and tactics. You’ll also be supported to continue to grow in your professional skills and expertise through Tearfund’s learning and development program.
