About the role

We are currently looking for Support Workers who are looking for a casual position with a great Company who are committed to providing excellent care to individuals. Both long and short shifts are available to ensure that work/life balance we all strive for.

The role of the Support Worker includes supporting clients with:

  • Personal care
  • Meal time assistance
  • Development of general living skills
  • Behavioural and emotional techniques
  • Assisting them to access community and recreation programs
  • General supervision and general administration tasks
  • Development of their social living skills

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role, you will require the following skills and experience:

  • A certificate in Ageing Support, Community Services, Health Services Assistant, Individual Support (Ageing, Ageing and Home and Community, or Disability), Mental Health and/or Youth Work or working towards, or a commitment to enrol within 1 month of commencement and complete course within 12 months (Cert III) and 18 months (Cert IV).
  • Experience working in the role of a support work or similar
  • NDIS worker screening clearance
  • A current National Police Clearance Certificate and has an issue date of less than 2 years and 6 months ago
  • A current HLTAID003/HLTAID011 (or equivalent) Provide First Aid Certificate
  • A current HLTAID001/HLTAID009 (or equivalent) Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • A current Working With Children Check
  • A current Drivers Licence (P2 or above) and access to a reliable vehicle.

Desirable

  • Experience working with people with complex needs
  • Bowel care experience
  • Manual handling/hoist experience
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Other Requirements

Candidates will need to demonstrate compliance, or willingness to comply with our Immunisation and Vaccination policy.
