Our Brighter Futures program strengthens families so children can live at home safely, free from abuse and neglect, and enjoy the best possible start to life. We deliver voluntary services to families with children at high risk of entering or escalating within the statutory child protection system.

About this role

You will ensure client services are delivered in an effective, culturally appropriate and sustainable way which maximises outcomes for children and families.

Leading a dedicated team of Practitioners/Case Workers, you will provide fair and focused leadership, professional supervision, practice support and learning opportunities. You will work collaboratively with community partners and other stakeholders to facilitate referrals and collaborative supports. You will get to work autonomously building on the strengths of your local team whilst being a member of our regional leadership team, supported by our Manager Child and Family Services Western NSW and a regional Practice Support Manager.

Terms: Full time permanent position based at Moree, NSW.

What you need to succeed?

As a highly experienced Social Worker, Psychologist, Team Leader or Manager you will have

  • Experience leading a team in Community Services, Child Protection or Out of Home Care or similar field
  • Knowledge of effective service delivery in child protection, drug and alcohol, domestic & family violence and/or mental health
  • People leadership experience to build/maintain an engaged, high performing team and develop their capability
  • Good management skills including troubleshooting, managing deadlines and conflict resolution
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to successfully influence and engage a range of stakeholders
  • A relevant degree qualification and current driver’s license
