Post Adoption Support Queensland (PASQ) provides information, counselling, search support, intermediary services, therapeutic groups and events to people affected by adoption in Queensland. The service also creates a quarterly newsletter and maintains a Facebook page. The service is available to people who have been adopted, parents, siblings and others who have been separated from family by adoption.

The work is diverse and rewarding and the PASQ Team is small, collaborative, effective and supportive. To ensure the smooth operation of our service we require a special person to help the team function effectively.

About this role

As our Service Support Coordinator, you will support the successful running of the PASQ service by:

  • Sensitively responding to enquiries and being first point of contact at times
  • Workshop and event co-ordination
  • Promoting PASQ (including newsletter co-ordination and Facebook posts)
  • Maintaining the PASQ library
  • Providing general administrative support that builds efficient processes for the work of the Team

Terms: Part time position (10 hours/ week) based in Milton Queensland with the ability to negotiate flexible work arrangements (work from home).

About you:

  • Ability to provide outstanding service to our clients in a positive, respectful, and sensitive way
  • Excellent communication skills in all areas
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
  • Digital media skills highly valued
  • The ability to balance multiple tasks, manage interruptions and competing priorities effectively
  • Ability to consult and escalate as required, outcomes focused attitude, with the ability to work autonomously and contribute to team outcomes
  • Experience working in similar role for example service coordination, senior admin, case work assistant
  • Knowledge of the impacts of trauma is a distinct advantage
