Your new role

This is a specialist Therapeutic Life Story Work (TLSW) Senior Practitioner role.

You are part of our area management team with exposure to a wide range of leadership areas. You will deliver Therapeutic Life Story Work across our Fostering Young Lives program, supporting children in Out of Home Care to achieve great outcomes. You will coach, mentor and guide staff and carers across the program with TLSW strategies as well as deliver training and coaching on Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Families.

With the support of the leadership team you will support the practitioners to build their therapeutic intervention capacity.

Terms: 12 months maternity cover, working across all hubs

Your new team

You will work with Case Managers, Team Leaders, Practice Support Manager, Deputy Manager and a supportive, encouraging Manager.

What you need to succeed?

As an experienced Social Worker, Psychologist, Case Worker or Case Manager (5+ years) you will have:

  • A Diploma in the Richard Rose model of Therapeutic Life Story work
  • Strong track record identifying and addressing child protection concerns and/or in Out of Home Care
  • Holistic strengths based approach to achieve lasting change
  • Capacity to mentor and support colleagues to improve practice outcomes
  • Ability to engage resistant clients and people from all cultures and walks of life
  • A relevant degree qualification and current driver’s license (pool cars are available)
