The Benevolent Society has been successfully appointed to work in partnership with the Commonwealth Department of Social Services, to deliver the National Disability Gateway. This service is a central point of information to connect people with a disability, their family, friends and service providers to the supports they need - whatever those supports are.

About the role:

The purpose of this newly created role is to establish the referral panel and mutual referral pathways for the National Disability Gateway Service. This role will partner with key stakeholders and services to engage with consumer groups for the service. You’ll be working closely with the Support Centre Manager and the support centre team to understand the service and customer needs and will build relationships with other areas of TBS and external providers and services to build the referral framework. You’ll help create and distribute content and information packs, conduct information sessions and promote the service through a variety of channels.

Terms: Max Term (18 months) full time based in Glebe, NSW

About you:

You’ll have a natural ability to connect with people, a real networking talent with the ability to identify opportunities and make them happen. You’ll have a strong understanding of the NDIS environment and disability services, and the skill to communicate some of the complex processes within this environment. It would be an incredible advantage to have:

  • Degree qualification in a health or community services related area or demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Experience working within the NDIS environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary disability or aged care practice
  • Good relationship building skills with the ability to create strong working relationships with different internal and external stakeholders
  • Independent work approach with a focus on achieving outcomes
