The Homeless Engagement Program is an early intervention and prevention program which operates across metro, east, and south-east Sydney.

The Program offers specialist Housing support to Young people (aged 16-24) and Families, with the aim to ensure that individuals are able to access, maintain and sustain housing to meet their individual needs.

About this role:

Partnering with clients, you will assess their current living circumstances and create case plans to secure more suitable, long term housing. You will deliver a better balance between early intervention, crisis and post-crisis support.

You will also work collaboratively with community partners and facilitate connections between clients and the wider community.

What you need to succeed

As an experienced Case Worker or Community Development Worker, you will have:

• Case management and coordination experience and understanding of the dynamics around homelessness
• Excellent relationship building skills and existing networks within the local community
• Work in a person-centred, holistic way and deliver outstanding service to our clients
• High level written and verbal communication, it’s important to document our work
• Relevant qualification, for example, Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or Welfare
