Caring for a loved one is important work. Some days caring brings great joy, but some days it can be lonely or a little overwhelming. No matter how you feel today, our Carer Gateway will be just a phone call away. Carer Gateway is a federally funded program that provides carers with information, support, counselling, and coaching. You will advocate for consumers, their Carers and families to enable choice and decision making that supports independence and quality of life.
As a Community Services Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for people wanting to access support. You will listen emphatically to understand the person's needs, provide them with relevant information and connect them to the appropriate services. Services aren't provided face to face in this team, but that doesn't mean you won't have the chance to connect. You will use technology based solutions to connect with customers to complete initial assessments that identify needs, preferences, goals and eligibility.
