Integrated Support Program Case Manager - Alice Springs

Tangentyere Council

Tangentyere Council Aboriginal Corporation (TCAC) is a community controlled Public Benevolent Institution delivering human services and social enterprise activities for the benefit of Aboriginal people from the Alice Springs Town Camps, Urban Alice Springs and Central Australia.

The Integrated Support Program (ISP) aims to provide supports to individuals through engagement and to support positive behaviour change through casework, case management, collaboration with specialist providers and integrated service responses. It also tackles underlying drivers of alcohol misuse through community development initiatives and cross-sectorial collaboration. It adapts a harm minimisation focus, acknowledging that for many people who have alcohol and substance abuse problem, it is unrealistic to expect they will adopt a stance of abstinence. The ISP model aims to support people to make changes which reduces the impact of harm to themselves and others, caused through alcohol. The ISP model is reliant on restorative relationships, effective casework, and community development.

The case manager will work as part of a team of case work and community development workers in providing outreach case management support to Aboriginal people living in Alice Springs. The case manager will also be a team member who can offer flexible and creative support while building trust through anti-oppressive and strength-based practice.
