Remote / Work from Home
With a career at the TAC, you’ll be helping us look out for the lives of everyone who travels on Victoria’s roads. That’s care in action. Right now, we’re seeking a Solicitor who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. That’s truly rewarding work that will help us continue to deliver life-critical services where it matters.
As a Solicitor at the TAC, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future for Victorians affected by transport accidents. You will manage a diverse range of legal matters, from intricate litigation to high-impact dispute resolution, all while ensuring that the Transport Accident Act operates effectively and fairly.
In this role, you’ll navigate complex legal scenarios, handling matters such as no-fault disputes, serious injury claims, common law actions, and prosecutions. Representing the TAC across VCAT, County Court, and the Supreme Court, you’ll lead negotiations and manage cases with a strategic mindset, often resolving disputes through alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to achieve the best outcomes for all involved parties.
Your work will involve close collaboration with a variety of stakeholders – plaintiff solicitors, medical experts, legal professionals and court personnel. You’ll be a key advocate for the TAC’s mission, using your legal expertise to guide clients effectively through the complexities of the system, offering solutions to protect their interests and support positive outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a solicitor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering meaningful, life-critical services. With the flexibility of our hybrid working model, and a strong culture of collaboration, continuous learning and improvement; this is the perfect opportunity for your next career step.
