The Role

As our Community Services Coordinator you will be responsible for customer and hirer scheduling, room bookings and coordinating events for Community Services Hubs. You will be liaising with external stakeholders to build relationships and partnerships, managing enquiries and bookings, and planning community activities and events to activate the community spaces at our Hubs.

You will:

  • Manage enquiries relating to space hire, events and activations at Community Hubs.
  • Coordinate scheduling and hire agreements for external venue hirers at Community Hubs.
  • Coordinate and utilise data relating to hire bookings and site activations to inform programming and event and activity planning and implementation.
  • Manage the evaluation of hires, events and activations.
  • Attend local events and meetings to build awareness of Community Hubs services, hire opportunities, events and activations and to identify partnership opportunities.
  • Manage customer enquiries, booking requests and scheduling for customers receiving individualised support and liaise with our Workforce Planning team for optimal use of resources.
  • Liaise with customers receiving individualised support to determine their preferences to inform staff matching.
  • Communicate with the Community Services team about customer feedback and preferences.

What you need for the role (essential criteria)

  • At least 12 months industry experience scheduling and planning events or managing bookings and activities
  • Qualification in Marketing and/or Event Management
  • Demonstrated time management, workload forecasting and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with customers, hirers and stakeholders
  • A customer focused attitude which is conducive to delivering optimal customer service
  • Ability to multitask
  • Current Unrestricted Class C NSW driver’s license
  • Current Working with Children clearance or the ability to obtain the clearance
  • Cleared Criminal Records Check
