About you:

The Role:

The Accounts Payable Officer will be an integral member of the Sylvanvale finance team. Reporting to the Expenditure Accountant, the Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for full functions of accounts payable, perform general accounting duties and will provide accurate and timely support to Sylvanvale finance and operations teams.

What you need for the role….

  • High level of initiative, integrity with ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Certificate IV Accounting or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • 2-5 years’ experience in similar role with demonstrated understanding of complex accounts payable responsibilities
  • High level of literacy with strong administrative and procedural skills
  • Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in using electronic finance systems
  • Advanced Excel with understanding of data analysis and reconciliation procedures
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
  • Working with Children clearance
  • National Police Clearance (to be obtained as part of the pre-employment process)
  • Current unrestricted Class C NSW Drivers Licence
