Chief Executive Officer

Helen Macpherson Smith Trust

Founded ten years ago on the idea that saving just one person dying from blood cancer would be a good day, Snowdome's mission and resolve is as strong and relevant as it was back then, to turn the ‘hope’ that Australians can beat their blood cancer into a reality. And we’re doing it every day.

Why? Because everyone at Snowdome knows what it’s like to suffer at the indiscriminate hands of Leukaemia, Myeloma and Lymphoma, either directly or indirectly through family or friends. Unfortunately, over 15,000 Australians will be told those 5 terrifying-little-words this year alone, ‘you have a blood cancer’. Chances are you will know someone too.

At its heart, Snowdome invests in people. We invest and empower those to accelerate next-generation treatments to Australian blood cancer patients, helping them live longer, better lives. We are the only not-for-profit organisation exclusively focused on raising funds to support translational research. And the results so far have been spectacular.

10 years is just the beginning.

Building on our success and reputation, we are looking for a new Chief Executive Officer to lead the foundation while working hand-in-hand with our new Chairman, incredible board and tireless Executives. Someone to help us craft the vision for the next 10 years. Someone we can call ‘family’.

Naturally, strong leadership, strategic skills, excellent business and financial acumen and accountability are table-stakes for any CEO position. But more than that you will need to be as passionate and as persistent in shaking the world of blood cancer treatments and cures as those around you.

So, ask yourself, ‘Do I have what it takes?’.

Do you want to lead a world-class foundation that just happens to call Australia home?

Can you be the commanding presence, the public face Snowdome demands?

Are you a visionary leader with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive us forward?

Can you cultivate relationships with our generous philanthropic partners and stakeholders?

Are you passionate about nurturing those around you to bring out their very best?

Are you a leader that doesn’t ask ‘why’ but rather asks, ‘why not’?

Do you believe those 15,000 Australians should never have to hear those 5 terrible words ever again?

If so, the Snowdome Foundation just may be the ‘family’ you’ve been looking for.
