A Mental Health Teacher at Swinburne is expected to share their experience and knowledge with students, and encourage them to successfully obtain their qualifications and succeed in their chosen profession. You will work within a passionate team of teachers. Within this team they plan deliver, assess, evaluate and ensure compliance of high quality education programs. About you

To be suitable for the role you will have:

• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 including the following units:
  • TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills or its successor, OR
  • TAELLN401A Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills, AND
  • TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools or its successor, OR
  • TAEASS502A Design and develop assessment tools OR
  • TAEASS502B Design and develop assessment tools

• Relevant degree or vocational qualification
• Experience in industry related to Mental Health or Mental Health Peer Work
• Demonstrated excellence or capacity to implement high quality, innovative approaches in teaching and assessment, using a variety of learning modes, which respond to diverse student learning needs
• A valid working with children’s check (or ability to obtain prior to or upon commencement)
• Vaccination against COVID-19 or valid medical exemption
