As a South West Community Legal Centre employee, you will be making a real difference every day. This position is well suited to a legal practitioner with experience in family law, domestic and family violence issues, child protection, tenancy and other civil law. The applicant will need to demonstrate an understanding of the cultural, social and economic issues facing people in the South West community.
As a key team member, you will work with other staff members and report to the Principal Solicitor.
You will ideally have experience in most or all of the following areas of law: restraining order matters, family law, criminal injuries compensation, tenancy and other areas of civil law.
Part of a small legal team, you’ll be applying your skills and sharing your knowledge across a diverse range of matters. Reporting directly to our Principal Solicitor, you’ll manage a diverse caseload and be given opportunities to further your own professional development.
There is flexibility to negotiate the hours of this position. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be employed from 1-5 days per week depending on candidates preference. This position is based in our Bunbury office, and will involve travel to our nearby Outreach locations or local courts. Flexible work from home arrangements negotiated if the right applicant lives outside this area.
