Employment will be available through either casual bank or a 6 month fixed term contract (part time or full time).

You will be assigned to work in the following clinical areas:

  • Acute, Fitzroy Campus
  • Subacute, Fitzroy and Kew Campus
  • Residential Aged Care Facilities - Collingwood, Richmond and Hawthorn
  • Mental Health

About the role

The Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN), under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for the provision of high standard patient care on a day to day basis. The EEN assumes accountability and responsibility for their own practice based upon their level of education preparation and competence.

Classifications for this position will range from IB67 - IB72 and IB83 - IB88 ($59,867 - $65,104) per annum.

Duties

  • Manage the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
  • Administer medication in accordance with hospital procedures, protocols and policies
  • Assist with medical and diagnostic procedures carried out in the unit
  • Document, observe and report relevant nursing findings within the framework of nursing practice
  • Liaise with patient, patient's family, medical and ancillary staff as required or requested

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Diploma in Nursing
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current experience is the clinical areas above is highly desirable
  • Ability to be flexible and work a variety of shifts
  • Demonstrated ability and passion to nurse a diverse range of patients and adapt to different work practices, environments and teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
