St Vincent's Hospital Renal Unit provides care for patients across the entire spectrum of renal disease, from the ambulatory care of those with CKD to meeting the dialysis and transplant needs of those with ESKD. SVHM is known as a hub provider of renal services supporting a number of regional and rural satellite as well as in-centre renal dialysis facilities.Our dialysis service comprises haemodialysis (acute and chronic), home dialysis (home haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis) with the service currently providing medical support for 290 patients undergoing maintenance dialysis and 310 patients with CKD stage 4/5 (all approaching ESKD and dialysis) state wide.
The service has a strong research focus and is committed to research that can improve quality of life for patients with chronic kidney disease.
You will be a Registered Nurse with renal and research experience who will facilitate the undertaking of clinical trials within the St Vincent's Renal service. You will be responsible for the primary coordination of clinical trials and the management of patients on those trials. The role involves delivery of direct and in-direct clinical-trial-related care of patients, associated data collection and maintenance of essential trial documents for concurrent studies. This is a fixed term position from April 2020 to October 2021.
The classification for this position is Grade 4B, YX13 ($104,000 per annum).
