Position Summary:
St Vincent's is contracted by leading service providers MTC Broadspectrum to deliver health services to Parklea Correctional Centre - a major Sydney prison with capacity for 1,816 male inmates.
The provision of healthcare is a vital part of an inmate's life. We've established St Vincent's Correctional Health Services because of the unique difference corrective health professionals can make.
Position Summary:
A vacancy exists in the above unit within the Parklea Corrections Complex for a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Educator with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team.
As a Clinical Nurse Educator you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on an individual and the community. You will serve as a critical link to identifying the health care needs of the individual patient and promote health and wellbeing.

Applicant will be required to obtain a Corrective Service Clearance NSW to be able to take up this role.
Selection Criteria
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health Australia.
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
- Relevant clinical or education post-graduate qualifications and at least 12 months experience working in the relevant clinical area related to their qualifications, or four years post-registration experience including three years' experience in the relevant specialist field
- Demonstrated knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches including e-learning
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
- Certificate IV in workplace training and education or willingness to undertake within the first 12 months of employment
