The Physiotherapy Department provides high quality clinical services across a spectrum of acute, sub-acute and outpatient services. The Department works as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment and a range of therapeutic services to optimise patient care and maximise function. The Department is committed to fostering excellence in evidence based clinical care, research and education.
An opportunity currently exists for an Allied Health Assistant to join the Physiotherapy teams on a fixed term basis. This position is responsible for assisting physiotherapists to provide high quality clinical management of patients in the sub-acute units at St George's Hospital, primarily the Geriatric Evaluation Management (GEM) inpatient unit. In particular, this includes assisting patient mobility practice, supervising patient exercise and therapy across both individual and group sessions, and other duties as directed.
Classifications for this position will range from Allied Health Assistant TC1 ($57,700 per annum).
All appointments are made subject to the candidate providing a current satisfactory National Police Certificate conducted by The Victoria Police.
