The Role

As Program Coordinator you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of your Program. A key deliverable of this role is the coordination of service delivery, accountability for program outcomes and responsibility for the management and outputs of employees within the line management chain.

A key requirement of this position is the ability to work within relevant funding guidelines and agreements, legislative requirements and St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland’s policies and procedures.

To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification in Alcohol and Other Drugs, Counselling or Community Services
  • Minimum five years’ industry experience working with clients with drug and alcohol dependencies
  • Demonstrated program coordination and leadership skills, including human resources and financial management, quality assurance, risk management and reporting
  • Knowledge of and ability to work within relevant funding guidelines and legislative requirements relating to the delivery of program outcomes and safety and risk
  • Previous experience as a coordinator of equivalent senior position with accountability for operational outcomes and direct reports
  • Ability to lead and manage others including well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
