About the team

HomeConnect is a program designed to prevent or intervene early to provide support and accommodation to young adults, adults, families and children who are at risk of homelessness or are recently homeless. The program aims to support and empower individuals and families to stabilise and rebuild their lives to remain housed or to be re-housed, provide holistic support, build confidence and self-esteem, and develop an overall plan to engage and support clients. A range of specialist positions exist in the team to provide a wraparound support based around the client's aspirations and needs.

About the role

VincentCare Victoria is seeking an appropriately-qualified person to provide leadership, guidance, mentoring and supervision to the team who provide support to clients into stable accommodation.

Key to the success of this role will be using feminist principles to support the team and victim-survivors, fostering a culture of inclusivity and promoting a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.

About you

You are an appropriately qualified professional with experience in providing client focused comprehensive case management, planning and support.

You have an understanding of partnership initiatives and deliverables and an ability to lead, work with and alongside other programs and organisations.

You have experience in maintaining constructive and respectful working relationships to provide an integrated service response across VincentCare and bring about change to enhance service delivery.

Your experience and knowledge also extends to:

  • Effectively engaging with people experiencing complex issues
  • An ability to manage critical incidents, identify and act upon immediate risk of danger to self and others in both outreach and service based capacities.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in liaising with other community service organisations for the development of on-going relationships and referral protocols beneficial to client support

  • Salary Range: SCHCDSI Level 8 $55.05 - $57.22 per hour dependant on experience
